Measure more than the gate
For a standard PolyJohn PJN3, the published exterior is 43.5 inches wide, 47 inches deep and 91 inches high. Those dimensions help you assess the enclosure, but they do not describe a delivery truck’s width, turning space or overhead clearance. Share the narrowest point along the whole route.
Photograph the approach before booking
Useful information includes the driveway entry, turns, surface changes, overhead branches and wires, and the preferred placement. For Fallbrook properties with long drives, identify a safe turnaround. Never assume a driver can safely reverse a long distance or cross soft ground.
Think about the used unit leaving
A unit that can be positioned empty still needs safe waste removal and collection later. Fencing, landscaping and parked vehicles may change the approach during the rental. Keep the agreed service route available and call before relocating equipment.
Mark the position and name a backup
A cone or clear marker helps communicate placement when you cannot be present. Send written notes and a contact who can answer on delivery day. Gate codes should be shared directly with the team when requested, not placed in a publicly visible site sign.
Have an alternative ready
Choose a second stable position in case the first cannot be used. Keep both positions away from traffic hazards and drainage. If you need an accessible unit, the backup must preserve the accessible route as well.
